 Meet Mrs. W. Minimize

Hi! I am Cindy Williamson, the fifth grade homeroom teacher in the fourth/fifth grade loop. I am a Colorado native and a product of Littleton Public Schools, beginning in second grade when I started at Highland Elementary. Fast forward through Euclid Junior High, Arapahoe High School, and the University of Northern Colorado, and I was back in LPS; no longer doing homework, but assigning it!

After teaching for two years at other Littleton elementary schools, I was very fortunate to transfer to Carl Sandburg Elementary, where I have been teaching since our nation's bicentennial year! Yes, if you've done your math correctly, that would make this my thirty-third autumn at Sandburg. Luckily, teaching these terrific students keeps me feeling young. (Most of the time!) Amazing to think that when I first taught at Sandburg this school was just ten years old.

Shirley Dutchkowski and I have been team teaching for many years and happily have been "back in the loop" for the last four years. Although my Master's degree is in Elementary Science Education, I teach the language arts for both classes in the loop. Teaching reading, writing, and performing arts provides me a wonderful opportunity to share my love for literature and do a little "hamming it up" on my own classroom stage.
