We will be studying several interesting and exciting social studies topics throughout the year!  We will study the characteristics that make up a community, compare our community with others around the world, and look at how economics play a role in a community.  We will review attributes of and skills in using maps, globes, and atlases.  We will investigate the causes and major events leading to the American Revolution.  In addition, we will look at how the constitution and our government were created.  Lastly, we will study patterns of and reasons for immigration to the United States and migration to the West.  This page will be valuable during these units of study in finding additional information and practicing skills.
