Welcome to the 3rd/4th multi-grade class. We have the unique opportunity to develop cross-grade friendships and working relationships within the classroom. This year we will be focusing on 4th grade curriculum topics for Science and Social Studies while continuing to meet individual needs through reading, writing, and math groupings. We will begin the year with a study of our beautiful state learning about the symbols that represent us and some of the unique geographical features
we are fortunate to have. We will also be studying rocks and minerals, the skeletal/muscular systems, space exploration, and Earth's natural forces/natural disasters. We will be studying the United States learning about the regions of our country and the capitals of all the states. Our year will end with an in-depth study of Colorado history including an overnight field trip to the Plains Consevation Center in May. We have so much to learn and accomplish together.
