Welcome to Kindergarten; an exciting year full of growth for all.  Kindergarten is a year that will teach your child independece, responsibility, and a love for learning.  In my classroom we will work on character traits that will help us become more self-assured and intuitive to the learning environment as well as a focus on academics.  Although we only meet for half a day; this time is filled with many activities that reach each student at their learning level.

The best way for youto help your child during this year is to read to them nightly, paly games with them at home, and to give them as many experiences as possible to make positive choices.  I look forward to us working as a team to help develop your child into the best person that they can be.

We just completed our Ocean Unit and the students did fabulously on their journals.  Our Hawaiian Day was also a huge success!  Thanks to all the parents who helped with this wonderful activity.

Looking forward to the end of the year we will begin practicing for our kindergarten celebration.  Please look in your Friday folders for more information regarding date and time as well as reading parts that your child will need to share with the class.
