Homework contributes toward building responsibility, self-discipline, and lifelong learning habits. It is intended to be relevant, challenging, and reinforces classroom learning objectives. It provides students with the opportunity to apply information they have learned, complete unfinished class assignments, and develop independence.
Students in my classroom might have up to 50 minutes of homework per night.
Homework is given nightly in math (Monday-Thursday). Occasionally there will be homework on the weekend if the student gets behind or needs extra practice on specific skills.
