 Science Minimize

Animal research projects have begun!  We are working with Mrs. Tejan in the library to research different animals.  Each student will write their own animal research report and create a non-fiction pop-up book!  Then, we will visit the Denver Zoo to see these animals in real life.  In addition, each student will create a diorama showing the habitat of their animal.  Information regarding the at-home diorama project will come home in the Friday folder.

Wow!  We have some great science topics and projects this year!  We will learn about simple machines and how they can be used together to create more complex machines.  We will explore the Solar System and learn research skills to study individual planets.  We will study different biomes found on Earth and the features that contribute to their vast differences.  Using that knowledge, we will look at how animals survive in their specific biomes.  Again, we will use research skills to study individual animals and their adaptations.  This page will be valuable during these units of study in finding additional information and practicing skills.
