Hi, I'm Kathy Egan. My husband Pete and I have three children who all attend Sandburg Elementary. We are a very active family and enjoy spending time in the mountains and playing sports. During my free time I love doing anything that involves exploring and discovering new things with my kids.
As a teacher, I focus on the whole child; striving to build self confidence while stretching each child to the next academic level. I integrate technology throughout the curriculum with a goal of fostering independence and critical thinking skills for the 21st century.
I grew up in Washington State where I went to college and received a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Math. I also hold a Masters degree in English as a Second Language. I have enjoyed teaching preschool, kindergarten, first, second and third grades for 16 years.
