 Meet the Teachers

Tracey Hansen
Hi, I'm Tracey Hansen and I have the privilege of being the lead teacher in the Busy Bee class.  This will be my third year teaching and subbing for Sandburg Preschool.  Previously I was the lead teacher in the Friday Firefly class.

I have enjoyed working in Preschool/PDO programs for numerous years as a teacher and as an Assistant Director.  I have my Degree in Early Childhood Education.  As a teacher of young children I know they are constantly learning.  My goal is to plan fun and interesting activities that will help to develop their reading, writing, and math skills as well as their social and emotional skills.  I also believe in redirection and lots of positive reinforcement.

My husband and I have lived in the community for eighteen years.  Both our children have attended Sandburg Preschool and currently attend Sandburg Elementary.  My son Jack is a fourth grader and my daughter Grace is in the second grade.  I've enjoyed getting to know all the wonderful staff, children, and parents, as a teacher and as a Sandburg parent.

I am a lead teacher in the Busy Bee classroom.  I am from the state of Michigan and came to Colorado several years after high school.  We raised five children and have been in the Littleton school district for the last eleven years.  I have one son in Arapahoe High School.

I was a bookkeeper until I had children.  Seven years ago I began teaching in a small preschool.  I decided to continue my education in early childhood.  I have earned my group leader certificate and director certicate through my ECE degree as of spring 2008.
