 Kites Minimize

Next time you visit the library here at school look up! There are kites flying! The kites, actually, are a gift from a Sandburg parent who now lives in Malaysia. She shipped them to our school from Malaysia as a gift to our school. So, look up and enjoy!

 We love our library!

A study by the Colorado State Library Research Service found that students in schools with well-staffed library media programs average reading scores of five to ten points higher than those without such staffing. The study found that students are likely to earn higher reading scores if:

  •  Their schools have state-endorsed library media specialists
  • Their school library media specialists are supported by volunteers
  • Their library media specialists play a vital instructional role, complementing the work of classroom teachers
  • Their school library media programs incorporate the latest information technology.
