for the 2013-2014 School Year

Our Early Childhood Program is designed to meet the developmentally appropriate needs of our young learners. Our early childhood teachers provide a creative, positive, and nurturing learning environment where children are engaged actively in acquiring new skills and knowledge. This promotes curiosity and a desire to learn, while building competence and self esteem. Our program also focuses on providing children with a smooth transition from home to school, as well as kindergarten readiness. Sandburg Preschool is dedicated to creating a learning environment which… 

  • Offers a rich literacy/theme based preschool experience;
  • Draws from various teaching methodologies and applies age-appropriate teaching techniques;
  • Provides a stimulating environment for growth, discovery and learning with a low student to teacher ratio, 16 children with two teachers;
  • Our Early Childhood Teachers have many years of experience in the classroom;
  • Enhances student engagement through learning centers: art, library, language arts, discovery (science/math), blocks, dramatic play, manipulatives, and computers;
  • Fosters growth in all areas: social, emotional, physical (large/small motor) and cognitive: 
  • Develops skills and abilities in collaboration with the Kindergarten teachers for a seamless transition from Preschool into Kindergarten;
  • Gives students an opportunity to gain familiarity with the Sandburg community through a variety of enrichment activities such as, music & movement, science, spanish, computers, library and yearly family events.

We Moved!!

Sandburg Preschool is excited to announce we moved to our new larger facility at Ames. Increasing interest in the Sandburg Preschool Program over the past few years has given us a great opportunity to expand our program to accommodate our growing enrollment. We are excited to announce that our Sandburg Preschool Program has a new home just one mile east of Sandburg Elementary at the Ames Facility at 7300 South Clermont Drive, Centennial, CO 80122.

Age Requirements and Day/Hour Options

Days/Hours and Tuition Information

Depending on the class, children must be either 3 or 4 years old by October 1, 2013.

  • Our Morning Preschool Option, for 3, 4, and 5 years olds. The class time is 8:45 am - 11:30 am, children may attend 2 - 5 mornings per week (example: T/R, M/W/F, or M - F). .
     
  • Our Four Day Morning Class, for children 4 - 5 years old, the class time is 8:45 am - 11:30 am, Monday through Thursday.
     
  • Our Full Day Preschool Option, for 3, 4 and 5 years olds . The class time is 8:45 am - 3:30 pm, children may attend 2 - 5 mornings per week (example: T/R, M/W/F, or M - F). .

We also offer morning and afternoon extentions of our preschool program, taught by one of our qualified teachers. 7:00 am - 8:45 am and 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm, children may attend 2 -5 mornings and/or afternoons per week.

If space is available we will also offer a 8:45 am - 1:00 pm option (your child would attend the morning class and would stay for lunch and recess time), please inquire if you are interested in the tuition cost and availability of this choice.
