Peggy Abrams, Lead Literacy Teacher
Hello!  My name is Peggy Abrams and I am the Literacy Specialist at Sandburg.  I graduated (more years ago  than I care to reveal), from the University of Michigan(BA) and then got my Masters from the University of Washington.  I have been teaching in the Littleton School District for 20 years, 11 of those at Highland teaching K-3rd.  This is my 10th year as a Literacy Specialist and my 8th year at Sandburg. 

When I am not working, I am hiking, biking and snowshoeing in the mountains with my husband -also a teacher in Littleton- and our very lazy dog, Wrigley.  I love working with emergent readers who may need some extra support as they unlock the reading code!  I see tremendous growth every year, so my job is truly rewarding.
