As a Colorado native I’ve always known what an impressive school district Littleton has been and I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this learning community. Teaching at Sandburg and meeting many wonderful families and the great staff has been a blessing these last seven years.
This summer I welcomed my first child into the world. I am loving being a new mom, but I'm feeling anxious not kicking off the year with my new class. Sue Clark, Sandburg's former Instructional Coach and 5th Grade teacher, will be taking over my class until the end of September. Sue and I worked together while she was at Sandburg and I know she will work with the staff and prepare the students to be successful in 4th grade.
I love teaching, but I also love my down time. The world and the people in it amaze me. My family loves to travel and we try to get away with each other whenever we can. A few of the favorite places I have been to include Roatan, Honduras; Whistler, British Colombia; Napa Valley, CA; Chicago, IL; Paris, France; Greece and the Broadmoor right here in Colorado Springs.
I graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver with a B.A in English; emphasis in writing and a minor in general business. After working for a Commercial Real Estate and Property Management company for five years I decided to head back to school to get my teaching license and masters degree. In 2005 I graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver with an M.A. in mathematics education.
