 Jump Rope for HeartMinimize

February 1 - 19, 2010, Sandburg students will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart at school during specials time. Thank you, Mr. Rowe and the American Heart Association, for helping us learn more about keeping our hearts healthy.

Welcome to Heart Healthy Fact of the Day!
Fact: Your heart makes which sound?
a) chirping like a cricket
b) lub DUB
c) drums
d) none of the above
ANSWER: If you answered “lub DUB” you are correct! If you listen to your heart beat, you will hear two sounds. These “lub” and “Dub” sounds are made by the heart valves as they open and close.

Are you a Heart Hero? Did you bring your Heart Hero heart to Mr. Rowe so he can add it to our Heart Hero wall? Have a heart healthy day!
